Rick Schaalma

As WDS Construction’s Chief Estimator, Rick Schaalma brings a deep resume of experience across multiple market sectors including medical, retail, manufacturing, food processing, and cold storage. Rick has completed the OSHA 30-hour training as well as various construction management and project management continuing education programs through the University of Wisconsin. He is laser-focused on value: finding value for clients throughout the construction supply chain while creating an environment for project success from the earliest stages. Rick brings this positive attitude to his leadership of the highly skilled WDS preconstruction team, who embrace his passion for leveraging value and thinking holistically in the initial stages of the project to minimize disruptive issues as a project progresses.
