This multi-faceted project initially entailed demolition of a 171,000 sq. ft. former Sears department store including asbestos abatement and construction of a 10,000 sq. ft. endcap on the existing retail center. WDS Construction also provided 365,000 sq. ft. of site improvements, including five pads for future development, new parking, and hardscape improvements. The majority of the new parking areas (80-85%) utilize underground water retention.
Included within the project is the latest in creating a movie-going experience, the CMX CinéBistro Coastland. WDS Construction was tasked with bringing this innovative dinner-and-a-movie experience to life at the Coastland Center. The new 38,000 sq. ft. entertainment complex features six theaters with oversize recliners and the latest in audio/visual technology, full-service kitchen, and bar for a dine-in experience.
