WDS was tasked with an extensive renovation for Coastland Center in Naples, Florida. For this project, WDS provided its expertise in General Contracting services. The project ranged from demolition, additions, to entirely new builds. We carried out the demolition of a 171,000 square foot two-story anchor building demolition and added a new 10,000 square foot end cap on the existing mall. WDS also constructed a 38,000 square foot CMX Theater that featured six screens, a full-service kitchen, and a bar. Aside from those main tasks, we provided 365,000 square feet of site improvements which included five pads for future development lots, new parking lots, and hardscape. The parking lots were unique in that approximately 80-85% of the parking lot has underground water retention built under it. To complete this build WDS had to conquer multiple challenges involving tropical storms, hurricanes, and the pandemic which led to a 10-month pause in construction due to material and manpower shortages. As the pandemic slowed, we were able to pick up where we left off and complete the original ask.
